Beautiful and yet simple Tantric meditation drawings found in Rajasthan, India inspired me to paint this piece. I hope it fills your space with the same energy as the original ancient drawings were meant to do.
While painting this piece I wanted to pull in different mediums and elements from India. I chose to use vintage sari silks in this work to tie it back to my inspiration. The beautiful weave of the vintage silk shines through as the focal point. Textures and colors have been manipulated using different finger and sponge techniques. The gold leaf gives an extra dimension to this work.
As a commission, I may use a slightly different vintage silk fabric. The essence and integrity of the piece will remain the same.
